Brian Makela brings over 20 years of sales, marketing, and business development experience to his role as Business Development Manager for Illinois and Wisconsin. For the past four years, Brian has focused on ignition interlock (IID) business development and state management, while also spending three years building and supporting service center networks across both states.

Before joining the IID industry, Brian spent more than a decade leading sales and marketing teams, four years in account management at an advertising agency, and three years honing his skills as a copywriter. This strong foundation in communication and relationship building has carried through his career, helping him successfully connect with partners and drive growth.

Based in Northern Illinois near the Wisconsin state line, Brian enjoys life with his wife, their three daughters, and two dogs.
