Georgia Interlock Process
How do I get an interlock license?
1.) Install An Ignition Interlock
Make an appointment to have your ignition interlock installed by LifeSafer at 800-634-3077 or schedule online with No-Call Install™.
2.) Attend A DUI School
If required, you will have to attend a certified DUI school and obtain an Alcohol Risk Reduction Certificate.
3.) Obtain Proof Of Treatment
You will need proof of enrollment in clinical treatment or a certificate of eligibility for an interlock permit from a drug court program.
4.) Submit Documentation
Bring the certificate of eligibility or the proof of enrollment to your LifeSafer appointment and have the interlock installed. We will give you a proof of installation document.
5.) Pay Fees
Bring the proof of installation and a $25 fee to the Department of Driver Services to obtain your interlock license.
