How do I get an interlock license?

1.) Check Your License Status

After your arrest, you license will be suspended. Check the status of your license online.

2.) Get An Interlock Recommendation

You may be eligible for a probationary license with an interlock. In order to qualify after a 1st DUI conviction in Montana, you must surrender your credential to MVD, receive the judge’s recommendation to be eligible for a probationary driver’s license from the convicting judge and you may be court-ordered to install an ignition interlock. Additionally, you’ll pay a $206 reinstatement fee to restore credentials or driving privileges.
