Virginia Interlock Process
How do I get an interlock license?
1.) Apply For A Restricted License
You may apply for a restricted license order after you are convicted.
2.) Obtain Authorization Forms
Report to your local VASAP office. Choose LifeSafer Ignition Interlock as your vendor. VASAP will send your installation authorization form to us.
3.) Install An Ignition Interlock
Call LifeSafer Ignition Interlock at 800-634-3077 to schedule your installation. Ask about special promotions or discounts!
4.) Submit Proof Of Installation
Submit proof of installation to your VASAP supervisor case manager.
5.) Notify The DMV
VASAP will notify the DMV that the interlock has been installed.
6.) Get Your Restricted License
Important note: Go to the DMV to get a restricted license your hard copy license.
